West Coast Ag Veteran, David Lewis Joins Performance Nutrition
With nearly four decades of experience in the West Coast agriculture industry, David Lewis joins the Performance Nutrition team to elevate grower relationships, services and solutions.
Performance Nutrition Fertilizers is excited to welcome David Lewis as its new Territory Sales Manager for California, the Western U.S., and key markets in Texas. With nearly 40 years of agronomic sales and crop-nutrition experience, Lewis brings a deep understanding of grower challenges, strong relationships across the West Coast, and a hands-on approach that aligns closely with the company’s mission to deliver science-driven, environmentally responsible technologies that help growers improve plant health, increase efficiency, and maximize profit.
From his first conversation with the team, Lewis said the fit felt natural. “I’ve spent almost four decades helping growers find real solutions, not just another product,” said David Lewis. “Performance Nutrition has that same mindset. Their phosphite and amino acid combinations, stress-relief technologies, and salt-displacement tools aren’t gimmicks. They’re practical solutions that solve everyday problems, especially in a place like California where water, salts, and stress can make or break a crop.”
Lewis grew up in California agriculture, built his career in specialty crops, and developed a reputation for diagnosing limiting factors and matching growers with the right nutritional or biostimulant tools. His background includes long tenures in plant nutrition, foliar technologies, phosphites, and biostimulant development—experience that will immediately strengthen Performance Nutrition’s expanding direct-to-grower and dealer-driven strategy.
“David is one of those rare people who combines technical knowledge with genuine relationships,” said John Flynn, General Manager of Performance Nutrition. “He knows the West Coast, he understands the challenges growers face, and he has a talent for connecting technology to real-world results. His nearly 40 years of hands-on experience will help us bring our proven technologies to more growers who need them.”
Though Lewis now lives in East Texas, he maintains a strong presence in California and regularly travels back to support long-standing customers. He says the company’s flexibility and willingness to support both the West Coast and Texas markets was a major factor in joining the team.
